Hormonal regulation of plant adaptation responses

We will study plant adaptation responses such like seed dormancy, germination and stress responses based on biosynthesis and transport of plant hormones.

Content of Research

  1. Studies on the regulation of ABA(abscisic acid) biosynthesis and transport of ABA.
  2. Identification of the factors involved in seed dormancy and germination.

Result of Research

  1. Expression analysis of ABA biosynthetic genes in Arabidopsis developing seeds.
  2. Leaves are the main site of drought stress perception and ABA biosynthesis in Arabidopsis.
